The Fraternity

Founded in 1911 by ten young men at Indiana University, Kappa Alpha Psi is a fraternity comprised of more than 800 undergraduate and alumni chapters in eleven countries around the world.

The objectives of Kappa Alpha Psi are:
  • To unite college men of culture, patriotism and honor in a bond of Fraternity;
  • To encourage honorable achievement in every field of human endeavor;
  • To promote the spiritual, social, intellectual and moral welfare of its members;
  • To assist the aims and purposes of colleges and universities; and
  • To inspire service in the public interest
Kappa Alpha Psi is active in local communities via its national service program, Guide Right, and Kappa League, its high school mentoring program. Additionally, the fraternity partners with service organizations such as the Piney Woods School and Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
